How else are students supported to develop their cultural knowledge?
During their time at Meadowhead, students also have the chance to be involved:
- Visits to the Peak District including Castleton in Y7
- Visits to theatres such as the Lyceum and the Crucible to watch performances in Drama and English
- Watching visiting performances in school and those streamed live by the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company
- Trips to sports stadium and events
- Links with local sports clubs to expand interests out of school
- Visits to art galleries and exhibitions
- Tours of universities - both in Sheffield and beyond
- Opportunities for foreign travel – including exchanges as part of the Turing Scheme, language trips to Germany, France and Spain and other subject trips abroad to places such as Morocco, Barcelona and Italy
- Visits to places of worship
