Y9 Boys Cup

A harsh exit from the national cup for our year 9 footballers as they lost 6-5 on penalties. (14th October)

The Phoenix fought hard to come back from 3-1 down to take the game to a shoot-out, but it wasn’t enough in the end.

Big congratulations to Dadrian on his last minute wonder strike.

The Phoenix will rise again and be back stronger in the next one!

 

Double Win for the Meadowhead Scholarship Football Academy Students!

Two games, two victories! The students put in some fantastic performances on both Monday and Wednesday this week, showing skill, determination, and teamwork throughout. 

Huge congratulations to everyone involved—these results are a testament to the hard work and effort being put in by the whole team. Keep it up! 

 

Y10/11 7-a-side Rugby team

had an exceptional run of results at the Sheffield federation tournament on 15th November. Some fantastic individual contributions to a great team performance, winning all of their matches. More fixtures to follow in the new year. Well done!

Y10 Cup Result

After disappointment in the national cup in the last game, the Phoenix roared back with an 8-2 win over King Edwards in the Sheffield Cup (October 17th).

Another quick turnaround for the Phoenix as they next head to Ecclesfield in the quarter final.

The Meadowhead Girls Scholarship

played their first ever home match on 7th November and beat their opponents 5-3 in a thrilling cup match!

They were 2-0 down just after half-time and fought really hard to come back and win 5-3! The effort from everyone was outstanding!

Y9 Cup Result 

The Phoenix showed great resilience on 5th November as they came from 3-1 in their Sheffield Cup match to take the game to penalties. They held their nerve and came out 3-1 winners on penalties to book their place in the quarter finals.

Meadowhead Girls Football Scholarship Academy - Match Report 15th November

After a slow start and conceding in the first minute, The Phoenix’s turned it around and scored 4 goals in the first half, making it 4-1 at the break. This boost of confidence helped us in the second half as we scored 5 more goals with some fantastic assists from Elisha, making the scoreline 9-3 to Meadowhead at full-time!

Despite missing a few chances, the girls won their first regional league game which puts them 3rd in the table.
