Sport & Exercise showcase event for our Y10 PE students
Y10 GCSE Sport Studies students attended a ‘Sport and Exercise Science’ showcase event at Sheffield Hallam University on Thursday 6th June.
GCSE PE students, who have shown a high level of commitment towards the course, experienced an opportunity to further develop knowledge and understanding of related course content, whilst also giving a greater insight into potential Level 3 and subsequent undergraduate study options.
As part of the day, students were able to have a tour of the University campus at the Collegiate road site, and gain a greater understanding of possible future destinations related to sport.
Highlights included sessions delivered by Cavan Aulton on Artificial Intelligence in Sport, and Associate Professor of Sport Physiology and Performance, Alan Ruddock on Sport & Exercise Science.
A great day was had by all and hopefully we have encouraged our students at Meadowhead to pursue a career in the many options available in the field of sport.
