Sports Round-Up 7th June 2024
An incredibly entertaining game away at Birkdale for our year 9 boys cricket this week! The Phoenix managed a very respectable 85 runs but Birkdale batted well to win the game in the end.
The game was played in a fantastic spirit with some great moments of quality from both teams. Thank you to Birkdale for hosting and we wish them luck with the rest of their campaign. The next game for The Phoenix is on Monday at King Ecgbert School and the boys are excited to be going out and playing again.
Y10 Rugby team had their first Rugby league tournament on 21st May and following on from the success in the winter, the team were unbeaten in 4 matches with fantastic team performances in each of the games.
Soft Ball Cricket Competition on 21st May - what a great day and well done to the students involved in this cricket. The Phoenix won some, lost some, but lots of learning and some excellent individual performances! Well done to everyone who played: player of the day - H. Whitaker
