This year's annual Sheffield Federation for School Sports (SFSS) Schools Trampoline Competition took place on Wednesday 22nd March at King Ecgbert School, and we are delighted that Lucy in Y10 came first in the U15 Elite category and won the Rachael Crowther Memorial trophy.  

Rachael was an active 17 year old, and former Meadowhead student, who loved her trampolining. Rachael sadly died at the age of 17 due to meningitis in 1998, and this trophy is awarded to the top athlete in the U15 category in her memory (read more about Rachael here https://www.meningitis.org/the-book-of-experience/janet-crowther )

Rachael's sister, Joanne Janes, is the main coach at the Sheffield Performance Trampolining Club at Graves Leisure Centre where Lucy trains.   It was an emotional event, and a tense time for Lucy waiting for the results.
