Accolades for Ms Crump and her art exhibition
We’re proud to say that our very own Amanda Crump, who is one of our art teachers, had a solo exhibition over the summer, at the Cupola Gallery in Hillsborough. This is a really significant achievement, and The Yorkshire Post has a great article online about the exhibition and the inspiration behind her unusual ceramics.
Ms Crump says her figures were initially inspired by the characters she came across in the picture books which she read to her young son. Her work anthropomorphises creatures by giving them human characteristics and modelling them in human clothes. In turn, Amanda is an amazing inspiration for our students in lesson time!
