Welcome to Meadowhead's Virtual Sports Week 6th - 10th July
We would love to be able to hold the school annual Sports Day as usual, but due to the unprecedented circumstances during this difficult period we have decided to hold a ‘Virtual’ Sports Week where Y7-9 students have the opportunity to get involved in a series of challenges and physical activities from home.
Students who participate will represent their forms and compete against their fellow students in their years for fun and to be named as Virtual Sports Week Champions!
The competition will take place from Monday 6th July until Friday 10th July.
Monday 29th June- Friday 3rd July is Practice Week. You can practice each of the challenges by watching the videos, but you will not be able to submit your scores until the following week.
There are a series of 10 activities for students and family members to get involved with, each outlined in the videos below and set by members of the PE staff.

The rules are simple.
- Watch the videos and then do the activity yourself doing the best you can. Record your scores and then submit them through ClassCharts (students will get instructions). There is also an online form (available below) as a backup. You need to submit the form anytime during the sports week (6th-10th July)
- If you beat the teachers score on the activity, please send in a video to the HFWB email as evidence for each activity that you beat the teacher and you will be awarded an extra point to your total. Please ensure that you have your name and form to the email.
- For the Lockdown Logo please send a close up photo of your logo and send it to the HFWB email with your name and form. The deadline for all lock down logo submissions is Friday 3rd July. We will ask a member of the art dept to choose the top 5 entries from each year and bonus points will be received!
The HFWB email is – hfwb@meadowhead.sheffield.sch.uk
The aim is to encourage as many people to get involved as possible, to enjoy being active whilst away from school and to challenge each other to get the best possible results – good luck everyone.
