Meadowhead Together

Meadowhead Together is a charity, formally known as The Meadowhead Community Learning Trust,  that works to improve the life-chances and opportunities of the young people who attend Meadowhead and feeder primary schools by encouraging collaboration.

Meadowhead Together will provide small grants to relevant projects as well as funding to annual projects such as Everyone a Writer, the Trust Choir and employer engagement events such as work experience and mock interviews.

The Meadowhead Community Learning Trust was established in September 2009 and one of its first achievements enabled us to develop a very successful partnership with Norton College to provide A-Level courses until its closure in summer 2015.

We now have over 240 students studying Sixth Form qualifications on the Meadowhead Site, following our successful conversion to an official 11-18 school by the DfE in September 2013, and our rapid expansion to meet local demand for Further Education course provision.

We are now enjoying improved facilities with the construction of a new purpose built Sixth Form Centre which opened in November 2017.

The decision was made to rename the trust to 'Meadowhead Together' and to launch in Spring 2024 with a new trustee structure. The trustee board includes representatives of Meadowhead School and Sixth Form, representatives of local employers, a representative from a feeder primary school, a representative of further education, a representative of higher education and at least one representative of community organization that works with young people in the S8 area.  The Charity number, 1135386, remains the same
