students at the South Yorkshire table tennis competition

Table Tennis

A brilliant day at the EIS for our under 13 and under 16 teams who competed in the South Yorkshire table tennis competition at the end of November. There was a mixed bag of results for the under 13s, whilst our under 16s came away with a bronze medal after a very impressive display of table tennis.  The students were absolutely perfect and represented the school in exemplary fashion - congratulations and well done everyone.

Netball

A fantastic night of netball for our U13 and U14 teams tonight against SHS at the end of November. Both teams played superb netball and demonstrated pure resilience through difficult weather conditions.

Unfortunately the results did not go our way, however the effort from both teams was tremendous! U13 Player of the game: Ava S.

U14 Player of the game: Fliss P.

Boys Football

In a game that had everything, Meadowhead School’s Year 11 Phoenix’s battled to a huge 4-3 win over Silverdale in the Clegg Shield.

The game, played in tough conditions, was a true showcase of determination, skill, and sportsmanship, with both sides earning credit for their schools.

Scorers:
• Alonzo (2)
• Noah (1)
• Harry (1) – sealing the win with a sensational back-post header from a pinpoint TJ delivery!

Player of the Match: Harry H for his match-winning heroics and relentless performance.

The win sends the Phoenix’s soaring into the quarter-final draw, and we couldn’t be prouder of the incredible journey this team is on. Let’s keep this momentum going!
