Meadowhead pupils distinguished themselves in this year's national Poetry by Heart competition. Pupils worked hard to memorise one or two poems and recite them from memory with clarity, understanding and conviction.

All pupils were commended for their excellent performance by the judges, who were thrilled with the pupils' "clear and confident" delivery. Amelia was awarded the Best in County for her "subtle and sensitive "performance.
