Pearson House family visit
This week, we were delighted to welcome members of Sue Pearson’s family to Meadowhead to hear about the first year of Pearson house’s existence.
In 1939, Sue arrived in Sheffield from Prague on the kindertransport and was fostered by a family in Woodseats. The suitcase she brought on that journey is in the National Holocaust Museum and she regularly made a difference by giving talks about her experience of her journey.
Her daughters, Helen and Julia, and grandson Andrew, met with house captains and heard from subject leaders about how we share Sue’s story in history and English lessons.
We are incredibly grateful to the Pearson family for their support for the school.
