Y8 Newsletter - week ending 8th May 2020
We have had more positive news come through within the last few weeks and all of the staff at Meadowhead really appreciate the feedback, especially the teaching staff who are working endlessly to ensure that the students are accessing their learning. Parents/Guardians are continuing to email through their appreciation for all of the hard-work being put into the student’s learning and the support being provided from afar.
Furthermore, I have had the opportunity to email a few parents/guardians to catch up with some students on how they are finding home learning. A lot of the Y8 students are taking it in their stride and are working exceptionally hard, even learning new skills. I have been extremely impressed with some of the things that have been emailed through, which I will attach below. (Miss Price, Y8 Pastoral Manager)
Positive Feedback:
“Please could you pass on my thanks to all teachers for fantastic job they are doing providing home learning tasks for her. She is managing to access and complete most tasks independently and they are engaging her and giving her focus and purpose to her days”
“I would just like to pass on and mention how fantastic we are finding how the classcharts app is working with the lay out and the easy to view tasks and due dates etc. It makes it so easy to structure the day and get resources ready and keep to routine. I am most impressed with the quick email replies and all the technical help and support. Seeing R1’s given out are great motivation too”
“I am writing to thank all of you for the amazing work and organisation you are putting in. The way you have structured work and the way it is appearing on class charts has made it incredibly easy for me to home school the children. I can see that both of them are developing as independent learners; enhancing their research skills, improving their time management, and definitely learning to RTQ!!! So thank you, for all of your hard work and dedication, for making it as easy as possible for my children to stay on track with their learning, and for continuing to put yourselves and your families at risk each day to make sure that my children receive the best quality education possible under the circumstances. THANK YOU”
